We had worked with the Adidas Future team on a number of different initiatives over the years. This time, they came to us with one of the most unique asks yet—to help them understand and tell their own story to their global Adidas counterparts and the world at large. But this is no ordinary team, and so we needed to dig deep with them to help articulate just what made them tick, understand how they were able to do what they do and frame their vision for the future.
It wasn’t enough to simply tell a story. Instead, what we needed to do was illustrate how differently the Future team thinks, dreams and makes in the most immersive way possible. We started by philosophically exploring how the way they think allows them to stretch in ways most other teams can’t—from fluidity to movement, diversity to specialization, collaboration to mutualism. We then brought their vision of Creating the Future of Sport to life by exploring what they thought that future looked like. More play. More fast. More bounce. More far. More community. More hope. And to bring it all back to the craftsmanship inherent in who they are, we translated that vision into the tangible products and services that come out of their studio day after day. “We are the Future, and together, the future is ours”.
