Uncommon Music to Turn Up the Love on Your People

Bulldog Drummond Practicing Uncommon Sense

We’re a team of business leaders, design thinkers, writers and brand strategists committed to doing things in uncommon ways. We’re curious about the people and places around us and fascinated by the search for what’s next.

Music is intrinsically motivating. Music brings people together, ignites passion and sparks creativity. Our curated list is sure to spread the love in the office and perhaps encourage a dance-off. Crank the sound, and turn up the love on your people.

ARTIST: Michael Bolton

The king of love songs and tugging at heart strings—no matter your age, you're sure to know the tune/lyrics to one of Michael's songs.

SONG: I'll Be There for You by The Rembrandts*

We all have those days, and this song somehow brings humor to the worst of them. This song was originally only a minute long but was later re-recorded as a three-minute pop song after the original was looped into a full-length track and broadcast on radio station WYHY. *Warning this song may cause spontaneous head rocking and foot tapping.

ALBUM: Music For The People by Marky Mark And The Funky Bunch

‘90s’ tunes and good vibrations—a formula sure to turn up the love on your people.

If you’re in the mood for some uncommon tunes:

ARTIST: Deerhunter

An indie rock band with a minimalist approach. The band is from Atlanta, Georgia and has created music together since the early 2000s. Sure to get a few heads nodding to the beat.

SONG: Beginner’s Luck by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

A cinematic tune that might inspire new ideas—or at the very least a few foot taps.

ALBUM: EP II (+ Skisser EP) by Alice Boman

We love this album for its super simple and sincere songwriting that delivers a beautiful message.

Listen to our full January playlist.
