Bulldog Design: Be Heard

Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are all revolutionary when it comes to how people share and connect with others. And news sources, media outlets and sports streams make it easier than ever to get the latest updates. But connecting with a feed that targets each user’s specific preference has been virtually unheard of—until now. There’s a lack of personal privacy within social media because companies often sell personal information unbeknownst to their users, as Dave Vronay, founder and CEO of eweware, mentions here. So he was determined to find a better way for people to consume online content, connect with each other and be Heard.

Inspired by the basic art of conversation in which people are naturally inclined to share certain stories with certain people, Heard is a destination where people can interact online in the same manner they would exchange information in person. In a normal conversation, people exchange common interest stories and decide what they want to share and with whom. People can move from conversation to conversation until they find a story of interest and then share that story with others. And those who share the most interesting or thought-provoking stories are the ones who have most people circling around them by the end of the night.

Heard works the very same way. For every piece of content created, they believe there is the perfect audience. And whether it’s an audience of one or one million, Heard unites them at the right time, every time. And, the brand’s proprietary badging system establishes privacy for each user’s unique content.

Dave and his partners came to Bulldog to help articulate the brand surrounding this technology, develop the logo and create the look and feel for Heard. The bright red was chosen to command attention, accented by a bold, yet soothing turquoise. The pluses in the logo represent the additive qualities of the content and creation, while the negative space forms the “H”. The visual brand elements also create a playful emoticon and graphic—a quirky nod to their fun and social personality.
